want your own bunny? necklace? darth vader pillow? contact me regarding price & details.
make your own aluminum foil helmet!
you’ll need:
a roll of foil
a balloon
scissors
optional multicolored duct tape
———————————————
blow up the balloon so that it’s larger than your head. tear off about a million sheets of foil in varying lengths. start wrapping the foil around the balloon and don’t stop until you’ve covered the whole thing - wait! not the whole thing. leave the bottom open so you can pop & remove the balloon. which is the next step. so once you’ve removed the balloon & thrown away the sad leftover balloon fragments, insuring your dog doesn’t choke on them, you’re ready to cut out the front. choose a design & roughly sketch it on the foil [it helps if you try it on first & sort of figure out where your eyes will be]. we used a sharpie. ready to cut? ok, go ahead. just cut out the face hole. wow! now you can see out of your helmet! you might notice that the freshly cut edges are sharp and scary looking. maybe you’d like to cover them with duct tape? colored duct tape would be fancy. if you want to be fancy, i’d say use the colored duct tape. want some sweet antennae? i would suggest making little slits in the top of your helmet and poking the antennae through there, folding over the end about an inch on the inside, so it doesn’t fall through. or you can use tape to secure them. toothpicks don’t work, so don’t even try.
if you make a helmet & want to send in a picture, that’d be cool. i would thoroughly enjoy that :)
